His dog had fled and taken refuge in a fox hole
In Knighton Wood, Essex, Alan Whitton, 49, had lost his dog, a little Jack Russel. While they were doing their walk together, the dog ran off when he saw a basset hound who started to chase down. The Jack Russel Mitzi then snuck into a fox’s burrow, where the basset hound was unable to come and get it. Of course, Alan couldn’t run fast enough to follow the two dogs. He just got to watch Mitzi’s run, until he lost sight of her. For hours he started screaming and to look for but the Jack Russell was nowhere to be found.

The happiness of Jack Russel when he finds his master
The next day, Alan and his wife resumed their search, yelling at the dog. They also put up posters in the neighborhood and distributed leaflets. While making rounds of inspections in the neighborhood in his car, he received a call from a neighbor who found his dog’s behavior abnormal, while they were walking in the woods. His dog had detected Mitzi’s presence, deep in the burrow of a fox. By going there, Alan immediately understood that his dog was stuck at the bottom of the hole which had closed. He got some tools and started digging. When the dog was able to escape, he jumped into his master’s arms, tail flapping anything goes.
