At natural therapies are already part of the routine of many veterinarians and have helped to improve health and prevent diseases in our pets. The treatment of conditions through natural therapies is increasingly well accepted by several veterinary specialties, as well as conventional therapies. The biggest advantage of these therapies is the fact that the causes of the diseases are treated and not just the clinical signs, still having the minimization or inexistence of side effects for the patients.
Reiki, Acupuncture, Homeopathy, Floral Therapy, Holistic Therapies are some of them. In recent years, new therapies have emerged and have won over veterinarians and pet tutors. Meet some of them below:
1 – Muscle balance
The balance evaluates through muscle tests, the muscle tone of the pet. Recovers muscle tone, organ energy and emotions.
2 – Crystallotherapy
It is the name given to the therapeutic use of crystals. It is based on the healing and harmonizing effect of special crystals, applied to certain areas of the body. Crystals have the power to unlock and rebalance energies and emotions, relieving negative feelings and activating good ones. Crystals have the property of assisting healing, as long as they are energized and applied properly.
3 – Family constellation
There is an unconscious force that, in the family constellation, we call the collective conscience or great family soul, which acts in a hidden way in the members of a family system. In addition to your personal desires and wishes, your personal conscience (I), there is a collective force that also influences your life. It works on descendants, or people who have recently entered a family system (collective consciousness) to “resolve” the disorders of the systemic laws that Bert Hellinger calls the Orders of Love. Pets act similarly to offspring. They identify with something that happened back there, and try to resolve it for you. Instead of identifying yourself with the disorder, your pet does it unconsciously. Our animals want to help clean up the mess of the house, so they end up showing emotional and behavioral dynamics.
4 – Neural therapy
It aims to rebalance the patient as a whole. Ultra-diluted anesthetics are applied to specific points on the body, called “interfering fields”. These fields are the areas in which the nervous system has lost its ability to transmit electrical impulses, making the body, mind and emotions sick. TN will stimulate the autonomic nervous system, bringing back the transmission of electrical impulses. In addition to stimulating nerve cells in their ability to self-organize. This stimulates your pet’s return to health.
5 – Thermography
It is a non-invasive, fast, accurate, painless method that does not expose the patient to ionizing radiation. It has been used to complement the diagnosis of several diseases such as inflammation, tumors, fibrosis, neuropathies, among others. It is not indicated for definitive diagnosis, but as a complementary method. It is a graphic recording technique, where thermal patterns are detected. The thermal imagers capture the infrared radiation emitted by the animal’s body and transform it into a thermal map, which reflect the microcirculatory dynamics of the skin surface, allowing the analysis of different temperatures. As heat is one of the signs of inflammation, it is possible to detect pathologies early in the early stages, even before clinical signs appear in the patient or in other complementary exams, thus being able to be used preventively.
